My favorite place

The beach is my happy place
A place to relax and breathe
A place to enjoy family
A place to dream and believe
The smells of the saltwater
The sound of the ocean waves
Are always so calm to me
In so many unexplainable ways
The warm sand beneath my toes
The seagulls in the sky
I settle in my beach chair
And let out an audible sigh
It is a time to forget about all my worries
A place to just be
A time to rejuvenate
And a place to just be me
The beach is my happy place
My home away from home
It is a place that soothes me
I will always return
No matter where I roam
