Death Sentence
April 6, 2021
I have gun powder in my chest
Instead of a heart.
It leaves my lips in the shape of a bullet;
I open my ribcage for acceptance,
for it to leave me as nothing but a husk.

This poem is about when you're speaking, and you feel the words burning up in your chest. Sometimes this leaves you saying what you dont mean. it also symbolises when you open up to someone and feeling vulnerable, and them not accepting it.
