how was your week?
today i sat an accordion on my chest.
on sunday i cried but moreover worried
about being late to math class because i cried
all week i carried a weight, an albatross, in my chest
lingering through all the "how do you do"s
and on friday i sat an accordion on my chest
the weight is real now, i said
now it's real
it's real now

This piece is incredibly specific in its content, but I hope everyone is able to relate to its sentiment. I play the accordion and felt that the specification would make the verses stick out more. If anyone has felt this weight before, know that your feelings are valid and processing them will make the weight easier than any accordion could.
