knotted, ebony hair is entwined between my fingers

it’s strong, yet even the smallest pets deconstructs these fibers.

beneath me the rumbling of the force screams for release

their voice is agitated.

no lustful, are those the painful whines escaping their tongues?

perhaps confused.

yes its exactly that

who is this that squirms in anguish atop my lap?

i stare down into their eyes, mouth both tight lipped

and gaping wide.

and i all i can do is soothe and rest their weary eyelids as i drag the knife along their chest, watching red roses bloom from their pale soil

watering the barren land with my rain
