‘A lesson learnt the hard way’
Never had I thought a virus,
Would startle us.
A challenge indeed for humanity,
By the almighty,
Who gifted humans to be adroit,
Which we selfishly exploit.
Self- made dominion,
Who extinguished around a million,
Without compassion acting like a rebellion,
Against nature,
Who in return provides nurture.
Only had it taken for nature months.
To cause humanity slumps,
In not just wealth, but health,
Work and freedom,
While it rebuilds its kingdom.
As travel drops,
So does global warming.
As we rebuild our lifestyles,
So does the ozone layer.
As usage of plastic bags drop,
So does wildlife extinction.
As we minimize vehicle use,
So does carbon emissions.
This pandemic is nature’s way of teaching,
How we should act with sympathy as human being.
It is big time we realize,
And start to compromise.
