Heights Poem
My biggest fear right in front of my eyes.
Getting higher and higher from the ground.
So nervous,my hands are trembling and sweaty.
Trying to keep calm, looking up at the blue skies.
The bad feeling of my stomach turning upside down.
Thinking of all the possible ways this could turn out bad.
Keeping my attention to me breathing in and out.
Worrying about when this plane will ever come down.
Feeling the pressure of going into the sky on my body.
It is making me dizzy and nauseous but, I’m trying to keep calm.
The turbulence is making me jittery and scared.
I am going to try to listen to a songs’ melody.
Looking down at the ground, that looks so small.
It’s terrifying but is hard not to look at.
The cars look like ants that are moving so fast.
I can’t wait to be on the ground.
Getting close to the runway is making my heart beat even faster.
Hearing the sound of the wind hitting the plane.
Watching the plane get close and closer.
Finally we have touched the ground and I feel better as ever.
Now, my biggest fear is away from my eyes.
