What A Sight To See
Never shall I forget the excitement,
The warm Florida wind
Constantly blowing in my face,
It is as if we were in a race.
Never shall I forget dropping the anchor in the water,
The nerves as we were standing on the edge.
My sister grabbed my hand as my dad casts his line,
We jumped into the salty unknown.
Never shall I forget the rush,
The rush of swimming fast back to the boat.
It was race from the sea life,
And a race to catch the biggest fish.
Never shall I forget the joy,
The joy of wanting to keep swimming,
To keep casting the fishing line,
To enjoy all of life's little moments.
Never shall I forget the sound,
The sound of the line coming out of the fishing pole,
The realisation that I am swimming next to something.
Then as we were back on the edge, we saw it
It was a shark.

I based this poem off the time my family and I went swimming in the ocean. My dad loves to fish and while we were swimming he caught a shark.
