Life As It Is
I will never forget the day where the world first welcomed me
I could be anything I wanted to be
I know I have a purpose
But I don’t want my life to be a circus.
I fear that my life will be a bust
But I know it’s the process I have to trust
It’s the sound of silence
But the force of guidance.
In elementary school,
I felt so cool
There was no worry in the world,
But that was soon swirled.
The overbearing stress
Fear of growing up and being on my own,
But I know I’m blessed
It’s the fact that I have to digest these feelings.
I see myself succeeding
Pursuing my dreams
It’s the smell of success,
And the disappearance of the stress.
