keep christ in christmas
Once every year they retell this story again and again
And they reflect on my baby who was to save all men
I held my baby in my womb on the journey
It was long and we were both tired and thirsty
But we kept on going despite all of the mayhem
And finally at last, we made it to bethlehem
We found an inn which had no room for us then
So we kept on going until we found a stable with many cows and hens
I finally sat down among all of the hay
And I gave birth to my baby boy on that christmas day
I gazed down at his beautiful gleaming eyes
As a big shining star filled all of the skies
Suddenly three men came bearing gifts of myrrh, frankincense, and gold
And the shepherds came as well, as the story for told
The angels sung songs of praise in his honor
And I showed thanks to my heavenly father
It was only us who were there that night
And we knew he would bring the world a magnificent light
So on that night I thanked the Lord above
For sending down my little savior, my bundle of love.
