A Message to my Father
I know I was a teen mistake.
An unexpected thing that wasn't supossed to take place.
Mom couldn't keep me away from you,
she says i had a right to know my dad.
I think it made her sad,
to see you doing drugs in the bathroom as she dropped me off.
But still you were there untill you weren't.
My sister came and it shook the earth
Immidiatly you favored her,
there's a tatoo on your arm to prove it.
When you went away to Virginia and never spoke to me again
She still got to see you every weekend.
You told her not to tell me but she did anyway.
This is what you do, huh?
Go off and start a new family and leave your old on behind.
You've done it before three times.
But thank you for leaving
because now I get to see my life is better without you.
Who am I kidding?
The second you come back I'll want my life with you in it.

I miss him so much, and yet it hurts every time he's in my life.
