Hello Future Me,

Before I say I'm

sorry,

For my listless behavior,

The wasted time lost on safari,

and all our minor interests.

I will continue to excuse

for I was accountable

not only at home but, in school

and thought of myself as representable

And always thought past me always overruled

but now future me is sure to be a vegetable

Lying around on a comfy bed

Or a potato lazing on a couch

For the past me has always been

unacceptable.

Please now accept

my Apologies

Sincerely,

Past me

The author's comments:

This poem a self-reflection on me now and how the future me would be affected by my last carefree attitude which feels bad for me in the future. I thought it was sad to sympathize with yourself at a different time from your actions. This is what this is.
