The Crystal
The crystal sat upon a shelf
Unsure of its purpose in life
Sitting there
Shining
Translucent
Kaleidoscopic
Sunlight shining through it
But it was wondering what would happen
If it happened to fall to the floor
Smashing into a million shards
But little did the crystal know
That it sits in a young girl’s bedroom
And the girl loves the crystal
For the hundred little dancing rainbows it creates
Brightening up her day
Her room
And her world.
