The Wing of the Phoenix

As I watch the Phoenix grow from the shape of the flame
I am reminded of life and laughter
The past images of changing time rising up through the embers
As firey sparks embraced in bliss turn to ash like pieces of a heart once whole.
My mind may wander, but my vision is true.
The image of a being all too real
As it soars through time leaving its memories as ash
The love, pain, and joy all go in the breeze
Time is still, but life is clear
All under the Phoenix's wing.
