A feeling,

So-

Sublime.

The ache is never ending and even then,

you still would beg to fall in love.

                                                        How foolish.

The way the lavender field brushes through one's collapsing mind.

How the ocean pours out of your deep, vibrant brown eyes.

How you lose your mind at the thought of something-

Building up butterflies in your belly.

I could never be your profound light.

Your mind works around the fragility of nature.

Filling you up with air so sharp-

Rain so dull.

Sunshine found in your smile.

                                                        How absurd.

Whisper Mellifluous nothings in my ear

Running through the garden like the kids we once were.

I never knew your name,

And yet-

To this day

I remember your scent.

The way you danced under the moonlight.

I wonder how you’re doing.

                                                       How silly.

No place to go,

No corner to hide.

No shadows around,

No home of mine.

Now I grasp this notion-

Reading your world in just a letter,

I’ll read you mine in just one word-

                                                                                                                           Envy.

This piece is a work of fiction although, some aspects of it are quite relatable. It walks through this idea of envy and being envious of the relationships others have and coming to terms while preparing to embrace those emotions head-on!
