You come to me in my dreams sometimes
I look down to pinch myself, knowing it isn’t real
Looking back up, I see your face
Your smile so bright and wide, an image as clear as day
For just this once I’ll play along
As I laugh and take your hand, I know I may regret this later
I don’t know where this place is or how much time I have
Even though I’ve only been asleep for minutes
I feel I’ve spent several lifetimes with you
Lifetimes that always come to an end
But when I wake again, the feeling lingers
In my dreams where I am yours
