sinking in the sea
one step and then im falling
falling, sinking
my arms float above my head
as if grasping for the sky
but the sky does not exit here
only a cold, blue, unknown world
im falling
my legs kick and twitch
as if running towards air
but air does not exist here
my lungs scream
crying, begging
begging to fill with sweet oxygen
convulsing. twitching.
about to fade away.
open your mouth
let the chilling water
soothe the fire in your lungs.
let the dark liquid fill you up
and drag you down further
let yourself hit the bottom
as you completley fade away
gone
gone forever
lost to the world
you are no more

I've always been fascinated with the idea of drowning, of sinking further and further away from the world, merging with the unknown, of resting in water forever.
The urge to not let the water in is so strong that you dont let it in until right before you pass out. your lungs convulse and scream for air but your body just wont let the water in until your final moments
