Canvas
Everyone has a canvas inside their minds.
It’s a canvas painted to show somebody themselves.
But sometimes they are blank.
Which the sad thing is that many people have their canvases blank.
Those peoples go-to thing is the status quo.
These people have become blank.
These people are chameleons.
Others have their canvases painted.
They show themselves and are not scared.
These people should be the status quo.
So instead of being the blank canvas.
The chameleon everyone knows you to be.
Be the painted canvas I know you to be.
Even if I don’t know you.
Show yourself.
Do not be scared of the outcome.
Why should we live in a world full of blank canvases.
We should all live together not scared of what we are.
We are all painted canvases.
Many don’t show it.
They hide under this fake blank cover.
To hide themselves in.
To be respected.
To be liked.
And to not be rejected.
But why should they suffer?
They did nothing wrong but believe in false hope.
They will not be respected if they cannot be themselves.
Be yourself.
Be the painted canvas you truly are.
