The Power in My Words
The power beneath me slips:
It tumbles and jumbles
Only to stir my anxious thoughts
More than before.
I crave to have the power
To speak loud and clear,
To not stumble and choke
On my words as they arise.
As the words escape my mouth,
They diffuse into homogenous thoughts,
Relinquishing the delivery
My brain outlined.
For the power, I wish
To possess at a tighter grasp.
For the power, I wish
to amplify proudly.
For now, the power inside
Is merely undisciplined -
Yearning to be the medium
That emboldens my words.
