Whispering Water

I stand in whispering water

Moonlight, cold and bright

Flickers on the lake

The wind sings to me

Its voice as sweet as summer rain

Singing the melody of a storm

So new life may rise from the ground

A song that has no spoken words

Yet still speaks of life’s beauty

This piece was inspired by the scent of rain in the air before a storm. I like to go outside and feel the wind getting stronger as the storm approaches.
