Nature's Beauty
I wish to be free
To travel the world
Drifting through currents
Of air
And sea
Whistle along
With the wind
And birds
Create our own song
A sweet melody
And when the rains pound
Hills, Valleys, and ground
Our ears open
To a cacophony
Of sound
All throughout
Planet Earth
I fly
Zipping through
Neverending sky
Weeping willows
Mountain tops
Sparkling seas
Beauty
Never stops
Next I dive
To the depths of the sea
Underwater creatures
Fill me with glee
My travel has unfurled
How nature has kissed
Every part
Of this wide world
What would life be
If I was a bird
A playful dolphin
Buzzing bee
Dreams
Of all
The beauty I’d see
A wishful thought
Yet one I keep

I wrote this poem for an English project. Our teacher gave us various prompts, but this one just seemed to come to me as I was sitting at my dining room table, wishing to be traveling the world. The "Planet Earth" tv show on Netflix with David Attenborough was a major inspiration for all the images portayed in my poem. Once my work was graded, my teacher left a comment telling me to publish to teenink.com, so here I am. Enjoy Nature's Beauty!
