Little Fires
soft skin
rosy cheeks
we haven’t spoken in a week.
he’s out watching sunsets
while i’m alone feeling distressed.
i put on my best smile
but i wasn’t fine
you stabbed me in the back
while my hands were tied
honey you were a dancing flame
you went up in smoke
but i wasn’t the one to blame
burn it down until you see the ashes
i’ve given you a million second chances.
you were always the worst liar
setting off little fires.
