The Circle
Crumbling, crumbling
Down, down
The life I’ve never known
is falling to the ground
Who am I?
It cannot be found
Once it was so simple
Now everything’s a rimple
My thoughts twist,
Into void they turn
Pain is not a stranger
But I yearn, oh I yearn
The point?
I find it not, I only burn
The world is baseless
Humanity is tasteless
The end:
What is it?
Eternal emptiness?
Or the pain of killing us?
The broken tongues
Are tempting lust
Nobody will free us
What’s all the fuss?
The flame burns on
Do we be?
Or are we all
In a dream?
I cannot find
The end of this scheme
All of it is just so extreme
The world tilts ever so slightly
But it falls the greatest tree
So falling down we go
Into the great unknown
Don’t you dare flee
