These Four Walls
My room consists of 4 walls, all painted a soothing gray.
Of course it has my bed and a couple other pieces of furniture,
But the four walls are what really matter.
These four walls know all my secrets.
They’re the only ones who have seen how many times I’ve really cried myself to sleep.
They know how late I truly stay up trying to catch up on assignments, regardless of what I told my mom.
Four simple gray walls, and they know more about me than I’ll ever know about myself.
One simple room that knows all of my secrets.
