Don't Let Society's Grief Become Your Grief
Never let your history decide for your future, for nothing in the past matters in the present, nor in the future;
Never have your yesterday determine your tomorrow, for you can make your tomorrow a different yesterday;
Never blame the world for what you become, for what you are is what you are;
And never let the grief of society become your grief, for only the brave and persistent ones can stand out in a sinful world, with sanctity.
Although we don’t get to choose when it rains, we can avoid being wet in rainy days.
We are the masters of our own fates, and I, have my own plan for mine.

I wrote this poem in honor of a very important person in my life. While I was at the bottom of the bottom of my life, when I thought all the hopes were lost and everyone had left me, he stood up and showed me the light that I had alway ignored to see. He taught me our own fates only rests with us, they have nothing to do with others. We choose who we become, and nothing can affect that.
