Forlorn Love
I had long since forgotten my god,
For the hills I weeped upon held more comfort.
Since under the moons glorious facade,
Did my tears water the moorwort.
The dreams he wrought upon my mind,
Still echo with shouts,
And leave peace behind,
In the darkness he makes me callout.
The time was once sweet,
When he held in me arms of iron,
When birds snag our premeet,
When he loved me with burning fire.
Still forlorn I am that I grace this plane alone,
But the clouds above me remind me of home.

This peice was inspired by Romeo and Juliet but with a twist. Juliet is the narrator but she has moved on from Romeo and although she still misses him she knows she must go on without him.
