Dear politicians
Dear politicians,
Stop the lying
Stop the deceit
Change the world
Or bow to our feet
The ice caps are melting
The sun is too bright
The colorful coral reefs, are now all white
The animals are leaving, beyond our existence
The end of our kind, just a short distance
O’ great politician so pure and so just
Remember these words when our world turns to dust
What is your job?
Who do you serve?
Isn't it our wellbeing you're supposed to ensure?
Looks like to me, and too many others
You people serve no one but each other
Change the world please oh please
My name is the lorax and i speak for the trees

this is supposed to be a slam poetry piece and it is supposed to demonstrate my anger towards the general incompetance of the american government when it comes to climate change.
