Darkness

Darkness is the feeling that I get when I'm left alone.
No one there just me, looking around the house at night
I feel like I hear noises but it's just the darkness and quietness closing in.
Tossing and turning trying to get sleep I still feel alone.
Waiting for morning knowing they will be home and not feeling the loneliness and darkness anymore.
