Dreaming of Getting Older
Does anyone else ever wonder where all the time went?
I mean I blinked and here I am.
From stuffed animals and playing vet to searching for colleges with good Veterinary programs,
From jumping on the bed when my parents weren’t looking to falling into the mattress after a long day, too tired to even think straight.
From thinking boys had cooties to being in a relationship with one.
From wishing for anything but socks for Christmas to praying to find a fuzzy pair under the tree.
From being happy and content with who I was without a care in the world to wondering what everyone else is thinking of me at every second.
From not caring how much money something was to working hard to pay for car insurance and saving for college.
And to think we all dreamt of getting older.
