Ice In The Glass
A nice cold glass of water
You see the ice cubes and water mesh and create a dew like condensation
around the glass
It is pristine and perfect in the moment.
One might say refreshing,
But slowly the ice starts to dissipate
The condensation slowly turns into drips and the glass becomes an uncomfortable slippery hold
Soon enough the ice disappears into the water,
It isn’t present to the eye
But it is there
It's now one with the water
It has lost its form
Its shape
Its true identity

This piece is inspired by the feeling of disappearing in plain sight. The act of losing yourself and disappearing from your "true identity". This is done by connecting these emotions and feeling to the process of ice melting into a glass of water.
