Midwest Warmth

Walking out the
Schools front door.
Heading to my car.
I roll up my sleeves.
Air brisk and fresh against
My skin.
The temperature cool yet
Also warm.
The hot sun strikes
My back and fills my
Body with warmth.
It is not a summer warmth
Rather a winter in the
Midwest warmth.
The cool minty feeling of
The fresh air
Mixed in with the suns
Warm beaming rays.
A promise of spring is
In the air
It is February and the
Snow is about to go
So we think...
It could always just be
A midwest kinda warmth
