Embracing the Sun
Heat pulsing through my veins
As the golden rays touched the sil
I changed.
Every morning I started to be less aware
My left arm partially wire
My teeth sharp as a wolf’s
Eliciting fear causing people to bolt.
But for a reason I know not
A human girl stood unfraught.
Her hair ablaze in the golden sun
Arms embracing my metallic waist.
Behind a face of stone was concern
For she knew the risk yet she was stern.
“I know how you are and what you just might,” said she, alluding to my dark being.
I looked but said nothing, for I was mute -
“It is that you give me a little less fright. However you are, know that I’d always love you.”
If looks could speak
She’d penetrate through me-
Right through the dangerous core of radioactivity.
Fais Rais, Embracing the Sun*, by Galactic Wolf
*This story sci-fi adventure and is completely different from Embrace the Sun. The title is just similar.

This poem is a reference to one of my fictional stories, where the main protagonist for the first time confronts her andriod friend's alter ego who has a tendency to be malwired. I decided to call this piece Embracing the Sun because the piece is a description of the narrator who is the android Fais Rais, who views himself as the 'danger' of multi-dimensions due to his malwired tenacity to disintegrate everything in his path.
Fais comes out when the sun comes up, and his counterpart is usually back to his patient and considerate self at nighttime. Fais is mute and prefers to be a pacifist, with positivity and keen awareness of others. His main form of communication is sign language, and usually plays charades with visitors.
However, he drinks oil to stabilize his radioactivity and his usual friendly nature is often overlooked by other characters due to his malwired tenacity to be maniacal on random occasions.
Despite his bugs, Fais is a positive android who really cares about his friends and protects them in any way he can.
