Lost Love
his platinum hair, flowing down his chiselled cheeks as he runs through the field
my heart flutters as he looks in my direction
I think I've spoken to him a few times, but it doesn't matter
I'll gaze from afar as to not feel the harsh sting of rejection
he is athletic and smart,
and he helps me with science homework on occasion
but I long to feel his hands in mine
I know it will take what feels like an era
but I'll tell him eventually.
until then, my lost love
