When Will It End?
It's been years
It's been years of being treated like nothing
It's been years of oppression
It's been 100s of years
It's 2020 and things are still the same
We are treated as nothing
We are treated as objects
We are still mocked for the way we live
We are mocked for the way we talk
We are mocked for the way we dress
We are mocked for the way we look
Yet we are the most hated in the world
We are always looked down upon
We are always looked at like we are ignorant
We are always looked at like we are incapable of being successful
We are always looked at like murders
When will the hatred end?
When will we finally be treated equally?
When will we be treated like humans?
We've never come off as hateful
We're always welcoming
Why can't you be welcoming to us?
We embrace ourselves and where we come from
Why can't you do the same?
Why must you take credit for the ideas you steal from us?
Why do you tell us to forget our past?

I am 17 years old and I have experienced discrimination and hate ever since I moved to a predominately white city. This poem means a lot to me and I relate to it in so many ways.
