The Greatest Journey
We were just watching the sheep that night.
Until we saw a bright light
It was an angel telling us so
That we have a ways to go
He told us to follow a star.
That would lead us afar.
To find a baby lying in a manger.
There would be no one with anger.
We followed that star shining so bright,
On a journey through the night
We arrived at the manger to see the child.
Who was peacefully sleeping for a while
We saw others bearing gifts.
But we had nothing to give
We sat there, admiring the beauty we saw.
Oh, what a thought.
This is Christ, our king, our savior.
Lying there in that manger.
It was such a wonderful sight to see
It brought so much joy to me.
