Map
I love my scars
And bruises
And cuts.
I have a map
Of all the places I've been to
And fought all the demons
Who thought
They could defeat me.
They draw my story
Into beautiful art
That hangs in museums,
Where everyone
can see my story.
I carry it with me,
Through my brown skin,
That pinches my heart.

I've always loved my scars. They show that I'm not perfect, and that I've been through things.
