I remember the last time I was with you

scared and afraid to die we sat on my living room floor

holding you in my arms, you were shaking

This is our last moment together giving you all of the love in the world

you're my best friend since birth, we grew up together 

learning new things from each other everyday

You were gentle with me, you knew you had to be 

I remember laying in the grass at the park, you did more rolling around

You brought life into my life, cheering me up when I'm down

Calming me when I couldn't do it myself 

You were more than a dog, more of a true companion

You're not here physically, but the memory of you will never fade.
