Ode to my blanket

When i am sick or sad
or it’s a cold day
you’re always there
when i wrap you around me
it feels like a hug from the person i feel most secure with
comfortable and soft
like laying on top of plush white clouds
A blanket that’s been with me since i was a baby, short and small
you’ve always been there during winter spring summer and fall.
