Poems on Beauty
Organic
The leaves in summer begin to fall
gracefully gliding down to the ground
hardly making a noise or a sound
their elegance and beauty, captivating to all
The snow of winter is going away
ice-crystals returning to their watery states
with spring on the horizon not a second too late
I imagine the farms full of horses, and hay.
Seasons arrive and then they depart
but their beauty remains, cemented in my heart.
Misunderstood Beauty
The way she moves
is so delightfully elegant
as if it were choreographed
by some divine force or instrument
But the way that she talks is ever the more intricate,
platitudes and maxims have no place here
instead simple truths and philosophies
show the depth of her knowledge and understanding
The red and the amber
intrigue me and grab my attention
whilst in the blue pupils
I sense a connection
A meeting of bodies and minds
but as the time passes
I sense a deception and realize that I’ve been mistaken
I saw only what I wanted to see
In the bluejays and the leaves on the deciduous trees,
making an assumption
Now I chide myself for my ignorance
And ask for Mother Nature’s penitence
