On the Path to Success
You start out young and senseless without any self-control.
At this moment life’s about having fun and making friends while you attend pre-school.
You learn your ABCs and 123s and then you call it a day.
Too bad it is no longer that easy, because that day was yesterday.
You now walk into kindergarten, which is the start of your elementary school career.
You go in there with your head held high and you do your best to show no fear.
Five years later, in the blink of an eye, you are now in the fifth grade.
The work is now getting harder, but you cannot be afraid.
Sixth grade begins middle school, and everything is changing.
There are new faces, harder work, and your life seems to be rearranging.
It’s not like elementary school, you only have to survive three years.
But if you are not ready for more of a challenge, it could eventually bring you to tears.
You cannot slow down, slack off, or try to be all cool.
That is no longer how it works once you walk through the doors of high school.
This is where it gets serious and this is where it all matters.
You must now look out for college deadlines and start to mark your calendars.
You receive a cap and gown and you are on your way to graduation.
You cannot believe how fast time went and you start to have a sudden realization.
This is a happy time, but it can also be a sad occasion.
It is now time to pack your bags and move on to a much higher education.
Just like high school you must complete another four years.
It’s you and the thousands of students on campus trying to pursue your own respective careers.
After all of your studying and hard work you earn your degree and graduate from college.
It is now time to step foot into the real world and display your newly gained knowledge.
