Everyone has their own happy place,

the place that brings a smile to their face.

Everyone’s is different, make no mistake,

but I call my happy place “the lake.”

The lake is a place with no worries or stress.

When I am there, I simply feel my best.

Cheerful vibes are all around,

and a frown is nowhere to be found.

There’s never a dull moment out in the sun.

Each day is filled with loads of fun.

With boat rides, tubing, kayaks, and more,

time at the lake is never a bore.

Spending quality time with family and friends,

the excitement never seems to end.

Grandparents, cousins, uncles, and aunts

Try to imagine something better, I sure can’t!

The time always comes when we must say goodbye.

It can be quite sad, that I cannot deny,

but we all say farewell, with our smiles upturned

knowing the fun will be waiting when we return.
