The Profesional Mermaid.
The Professional Mermaid
I hold my breath.
I am submerged in water,
With faces looking back at me.
I swim to the wall of glass and smile.
I do a flip then quickly
Poke my head up and draw in my first breath of air
In one minute.
My legs begin to burn but I know I can't stop.
I swim across my stage in seconds.
The faces stare at me amazed.
My skin glitters and shines as the light hits the water.
Their eyes filled with fantasy and imagination.
The wonder in their eyes makes this job magical.
I wowed them.
I know this was a good show.
