The Sea Within Me

I feel at home by the sea
With the wind ruffling my hair
And the salt in the air
With the sand beneath my feet
And only the ocean to compete
I feel free sitting on the beach
My skin tanned like leather
And I feel as light as a feather
With the sound of the waves lapping at the shore
Easing my troubles away
I feel calm within the ocean
Stood atop my board
Stoic and proud, (with my head held high)
Like nothing can stop me
My home is by the sea
Only there do I feel truly free
