His parents yelled down the stairs, “Carter we are leaving in 30 min, you need to take Jade home in 20.” He yelled, “ okay I guess.” My eyes welled up, hoping this day would never come. “Well, anything you want to.” He stopped my words and kissed me. Not once, not twice, not three times, but maybe like twenty. The feeling of his long loose curls. The smell of his cologne. We got up after about 10 min and turned on some slow music. We hugged and danced for a good 5 min. I went upstairs and told his parents goodbye.
We got in the truck, he had laid about a bunch of hoodies in the back seat, and a couple bottles of cologne. “Take two hoodies and a bottle of cologne” he told me. My eyes were full, I has done so good, but I had to let it out. He looked at me and tried so hard to stay strong for my sake but he couldn’t. Only a couple streamed down his face but there they were. We took the long way back to my house. I cried and couldn’t stop. We pulled in my driveway.”213 miles will not keep us apart” he mumbled. I reached over the console and we wrapped our arms around each other. One of the best feelings ever, about to be gone for a long time. I grabbed 2 hoodies, the american eagle one and the nike one. I grabbed the Hollister cologne and got out of the truck. Tears were still flowing down his face. I got out of the truck and he walked me up to the door. I continued to cry.
My whole family was at the door. He was still weeping. Carter gave my mom a big hug and shook my dads hand. My 2 little sisters came running. “Why are you guys crying” Jamie and Jaydin asked? “Carter has to go away for a little bit” my mom said peacefully. He bent over to give them both hugs. “I’ll be back soon, I promise, make sure your big sister knows that, she’s very sad.” “Okay” they both said happily. “Bye Carter” they both ran off. “We will give you guys some time” my mom and dad walked out. I gave him one more hug and one more kiss. I was still bawling. He got in his truck and pulled out. “I love you Jade” he yelled out the window. “I love you too” I yelled. Some day soon I hoped.
