Escaping earth’s demons at night

I’m not feeling alright

I wish it would be out of my life

Before there remains no night

In this wasteland of a world

Mother Earth keeps trying

But her voice is never heard

You tell me you only live once

That’s how I know how far I’ll ever go

But where are you and your ego

 drowned in 18 months

Your words fall like raindrops

and your energy’s like currents

You pollute me in my world

And don’t permit excuses

Just like our planet

my thoughts start to rot

and as the icebergs fade to the sky

my hope dwindles

the silver lining fades

with our modern alchemy

of burning our home

and keeping no purity
