AN ALTERNATE REALITY
You fall asleep, then… you're awake
Stuck in an alternate reality you're unsure is fake
Because until you catch up with your mind and its tricks
Those subconscious moments are going to feed the nonsense
Your dreams start to run a muck in your brain and do what they may
Your fantasies of the night are finding a way
They’re forcing vivid imaginations, dreams running astray
Resulting in your sneaky fantasies blooming like a flower
However, those same Flower dreams pass with the hour
And ultimately catch up with the tricks in your mind
Now you're a conformed lucid dreamer, controlling the night
You’re conscious in your dreams
Yes! your subconscious knows
The reality you want is coming to a close
The scene starts to thin becoming opaque
The transition is swift...you find you’re awake
Your sleeping nights turn into restless days
When nostalgia hits and your daydreams start to play
Reality twists: you are not okay
Waiting for the next night... to be in control again
You’re beat up. You’re tired, and it’s not good for your soul
Return to your dreams...release your soul
