I am from the splintery wood
That jabed into my skin
When I climbed the tree
Looking down at green grass and
A Circular trampoline
I am from the swing that hung under my favorite tree
I am from the glass that shattered
When smoke filled my home
I am from the red and blue lights
That filled my eyes as I watched my father
Leave in the night.
I am from a family of what i call heros
I am from long roads and
Connected sidewalks
I am from a small town
Where everyone knew everyone
A place I use to call home
