It's Funny Isn't It
It’s funny isn’t it
How we judge people when we can barely stand
To look at ourselves in the mirror
How we can be so quick to tear someone down
When we can’t even bear to stand tall on our own
How can we say awful things about people
When we feel them about ourselves
Do we just want to make someone feel as awful as we do
To make them hate everything about themselves too
It’s funny isn’t it
How our first impressions of people are based on their outward appearance
When we hate our own and when that’s not what really matters
It’s funny isn’t it

I wrote this specific poem because it was something I could relate to and was on one side of it.
