Letting the Ball Roll
In the past, I let things pass,
let the ball roll into someone else's yard,
they would take my ball, bounce it a little
then, put it back in their yard to gather dust.
This time I took that ball,
walked with it,
And proudly asked:
“Will someone play with me?”
I thought,
if I had confidence and a cheery smile,
I would make a new friend
I don't know why it didn't work
Maybe it's my ball,
maybe it doesn't have enough air
I really don't know,
I wish I did.
Then, maybe I could fix it.
