Before
I get angry.
Before
I start worrying.
Before
my insecurities
rush to my head
saying,
“You’re not good enough”
Give me this moment,
a moment where my mind
is free from this jail
carved into my existence
called
“perfection”
I’m not perfect, nor will I ever be
but what’s the big deal?
