Burning Love
Shattered tears
Broken promises
Warm bodies
My body could feel the crying of my heart.
It hurt.
Although It wasn’t my heart that showed me the hurting pain of love
rather the beauty
in seeing the best in you,
a boy.
Me loving you
was like a million needles
pressed against my skin,
only breaking the outer surface,
pain.
You’re the fire of the sun,
too hot to touch
but still admired
by everyone,
how do you manage
to direct my heart towards your burning love?
Listen to me when I say I love you
Listen to me cry when you say I hate you
Listen to the sound of us banging on each other’s hearts,
but hearing no answer
Listen to us.
